My shadow poem response.

 

The connections I made to this poem title was someone following you and never leaving you alone.

This poem is organized with 4 stanzas, each stanza having 4 lines with a basic rhyming pattern of AABB AABB AABB AABB.

I think the tone of this poem is followed. For example: "I'd think shame to stick to nursie as that shadow sticks to me!"

The poetic devices I found in this poem was a simile, "For he sometimes shoots up taller like an india - rubber ball." and hyperbole here."I have a little shadow that goes in and out of me,".

I think the meaning of this poem is everyone has a shadow, big or small, that means you always follow yourself, because of your shadow, and you're never alone.
